These boards are handmade in our workshop with the same care and attention to detail as our regular personalised wooden chopping boards. The only difference is they’re much bigger.
All of these wooden chopping boards are carefully constructed from full-length staves and come in a variety of sizes. The boards are crafted from the finest American hardwoods found in the Northern Appalachian region of New England. American White Oak and North American Walnut. Also once constructed, the chopping boards are repeatedly hand sanded and finished with multiple coats of food-safe, water, heat and alcohol resistant oil.
These are the perfect chopping boards for those who have a big island or workspace in their kitchen and want no restrictions whilst preparing food. You can prepare a whole Sunday roast on one cutting board.
A lipped edge can be added to the front of your chopping board on request, which grips onto your kitchen worktop, keeping your board firm in place whilst you’re cutting. An up-stand at the back of your board can also be added to hide clutter from view and also keep bottles, salt and pepper pots and other such items. Also creating a nice clean simple line. You can even choose to have surface edge grooves for catching juices when carving a large cut of beef, a leg of lamb or a Christmas turkey.
You can also add a slab of granite to our largest prep board for pastry work. This is set in level with the surface of the chopping board to make a wonderful addition to your food preparation area.
