So, every year around early November I walk around the department stores and I get that warm fuzzy feeling inside and I’m inspired by the need to buy new Christmas decorations for my tree. Then, the practical side of my brain kicks into gear “Do you really need to buy new versions of something you only have out for 24 days of the year?” Urgh – I hate practicality!
However, I have found a sneaky way around “practicality”, I have 2, ok 3 sets of decorations that I alternate! And have been known to mix together for something completely eclectic.
Classic
You can’t beat an old classic, whether it’s a movie, song or tree decoration. The classic red, gold and angel topper is up there with Home Alone and Silent Night.
Snowflakes
A white Christmas in the UK? Don’t think it will ever happen – not in my lifetime anyway! So I like to bring a little of the white Christmas dream into my home with a snowflake inspired tree.

Go Bold or Go Home
I love a bright and bold tree, an in your face and unapologetic display of colour. Stick to three main colours and you can’t go wrong. Colourful tinsel, eccentric baubles and unique lights make it impossible for your tree to be ignored!
