Being the nosy person I am, when going into someone’s home, I always want to see the kitchen and the bathroom – I don’t know why, and maybe it’s just me, but I think you can tell a lot about a person based on what their kitchen and bathroom look like.
With that in mind, my favourite room to see in the home for interior design is the bathroom… here’s my bathroom inspiration for 2019!

We’re starting with my favourite first. This bathroom is a thing of dreams – from the contemporary twist on a Jack and Jill bathroom to the black details, everything about it is beautiful – including the washer by the toilet, spied it?
I love the simplicity of this room. Everything you need in its simplest form. I’m obsessed with the shallow-dish sink and the lack of metals – metals can look lovely in any room, but in this bathroom, the attention is fully on the colour and I can’t get enough!
Colour looks great in bathrooms, but I’ll always have a soft spot for bright white bathrooms, offset with warm neutral shades. Clean, simple, bright and pretty – unbeatable!
Small bathroom? No problem! Although the image above is huge, this trick works best in smaller bathrooms. Tile your walls with thin horizontal tiles to create the illusion of a longer room… This looks great in small ensuites.
If you asked 2017 me if I’d ever give a second look to a bathroom with wooden flooring and a wooden feature wall, you would have received a big fat no. Times have clearly changed because I am loving it in this bathroom! In my opinion, warm tones are meant to be in a bathroom and wood brings warmth without the effort. Not to mention the amazing log-cabin vibe that comes along with it.
Luckily, you can get a wooden material design specifically for bathrooms that doesn’t absorb excess moisture and warp!
