Holy Lama’s story begins in 1938 with Mr D V Deo. Mr Deo migrated from Goa, West India to Kerala, South India to set up agriculture in the essential oils field. He was the first person in India to establish vetivert cultivation on a commercial basis and therefore he became the pioneer in the Indian essential oils industry. From there, the business expanded into other essential oils, and spice concentrate extraction. D.V’s youngest son, Vijay, was living in the Himalayas when he made a 12-day walking pilgrimage to Aja Ney, the holy place of Lama Guru Padmasambhava, where the inspiration came for the company name: Holy Lama Naturals. Vijay’s wife, Vijaya, is a wonderful cook and a strong supporter of the family business. It was Vijaya who led the Holy Lama Naturals venture as a government-recognised women’s enterprise, supporting and empowering marginalised women in the local community. Vijaya is in charge of product development and perfecting formulas for the product range. Vijay always wanted to create a range of products that were pure, natural, ethical and sustainable. He expanded the existing range of spice extracts and with a network of suppliers providing natural ingredients of the finest quality, uncompromising product ranges were but a step away.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
For best results, use in the final stages of preparation or just before serving. For drinks, add the drop(s) first in the container and pour the drink on top. Shake well before use. If stored correctly, stays fresh for up to 3 years.
